Our relationship with Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson Cruises) goes back to
2003, starting with signage and wayfinding design for Thomson Spirit and still
continuing to this day on all vessels in the fleet.
At the start of 2016, we were given the chance to work on TUI Discovery 1 and 2,
designing and producing directional, operational and public room signage.
We refined our designs to reflect Thomson’s wish to ‘bring a sense of balance to the ship' and to give their customers the feeling of ‘effortless adventure’.
Using subtle colours and allowing the TUI brand and personality to shine, their people
and services become key elements that their customers will remember them for.
Lenco’s team put themselves into the shoes of the customers, walking through the ship, This allowed us to determine what signs they needed and where they should be placed to be fully effective. We carefully considered architects’ designs of the environment so that we can guide passengers logically and with as little worry as possible. At the end of the day, if customers are confident and comfortable, they will return again and again.
